Your agreement with StreamIt

1. Using StreamIt

By creating an account you agree to follow our community guidelines, to respect the intellectual property of other creators, and not to redistribute content you have unlocked. Harassment, impersonation, and unauthorised scraping of content are grounds for account termination.

2. Creator Rights

Creators retain full ownership of their content. StreamIt acts only as a hosting and monetisation platform. By uploading, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store your content and display it to the fans you have granted access to. You may remove your content at any time; removal does not revoke access already purchased by a fan.

3. Buying Content

Content is bought one item at a time, in Kenyan Shillings, through Paystack. You pay the price the creator set and get permanent access to that item. StreamIt does not hold your money: your payment is divided at the point of purchase, with the creator's share going directly to their own account.

4. Creator Earnings

StreamIt charges a 10% platform commission. When a fan buys your content, Paystack divides the payment at the moment it is made: 90% settles directly to the account you nominated, and 10% is retained by StreamIt to run the platform. Because the split happens at the payment provider, StreamIt never holds your earnings. If we change this rate we will notify creators in advance and update these terms before it takes effect.

5. Getting Paid

Before you can sell, you must add a settlement account — a bank account or M-PESA wallet — which we verify with Paystack. Your share of each sale is then settled directly to that account by Paystack, on their normal settlement timescale. There is no withdrawal step and no balance to wait on, because your money never sits with StreamIt. You can update your settlement account at any time; changes apply to future sales.

6. Refunds

Purchases are final and are not refundable, because buying grants immediate and permanent access to the creator's content. If a payment was taken in error, or content was misrepresented, contact support and we will review the case individually. Note that because payments are split at the point of sale, any refund involves both StreamIt and the creator.

7. Availability and Changes

StreamIt is provided on an as-is basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may modify or discontinue features. We may update these terms; where a change materially affects your rights or your earnings, we will notify you before it takes effect.
